Pronounced oh-tie.
This recipe comes from Tonga and tastes like you are on the island! We have a lady in our church whose kids are all older and so she organizes a walking group with all of us young moms. She often treats us to a snack or cultural experience at the end of our walks. One time she had this drink and I wanted to take the whole jug home with me! I loved the fresh tastes of all the fruits. It is the perfect way to use up any watermelon!

Ingredients
- 5-6 cups cold seedless watermelon, cubed
- 1 cup frozen pineapple (you can also used cold crushed pineapple if you don’t want to use a blender)
- 1 can (13.5 ounces approx.) cold coconut milk (I like to use the lite milk)
- 1 c cold coconut water
- 2 Tbsp fresh lime juice
- 2-3 TBS sugar (optional)
Directions
Add all the ingredients to a blender except the sugar and pulse until blended but still chunky – you don’t want a thin puree. This drink has texture to it. Taste and add in some sugar and pulse for a few more seconds taste again and add more sweetener if desired. Can be chilled if not using right away.
